Moonstone & labradorite necklace

I've had this grey briolette moonstone and beautiful labradorite beads for some time now. I was looking forward to working with them but did not quite know what I would do with them. I'm very happy to have put them together, they look so beautiful. The labradorite beads are individually hand knotted and there is a gold accent bead either side of the moonstone. This is such a pretty piece and will soon have some fine earrings to match.

Moonstone is calming and balancing to the emotions & assists working through old wounds. It is a good meditation stone. It settles stress caused digestive problems and helps balance hormones, fluid, insomnia and aids liver and pancreas. It can also assist skin, eyes and hair.
Moonstone as a lunar stone is said to assist intuition. A lovely feminine stone.

I think the best way to use this book for your holistic health is to read through the mineral nutrition section at the back to understand which minerals you need more of to enhance your health. You then go to the crystal sections and choose which one suits you best both in what it offers your health and attraction.

Gem fest from a stall holders perspective

Lismore gemfestival is a magnificent festival and gets better each year.
This year I was lucky enough to be offered a stall to sell my book The Magic of Minerals in Crystal Healing. Along with this I offered some of my gemstone jewellery. I can honestly say I much prefer to wander and look searching for that special crystal/slab that I cannot do without. I was told it was a magnificent festival but could not really get out to see for myself.
I am not complaining at all. I have experienced my first ever stall. The feedback on my book was terrific. To hear people coming back and saying to their friends "Look, that is the book" was pretty amazing. Some people chose to use the book as a reference for what they would buy at various stalls. This is terrific, but at times I felt like they treated my stall as a library. Trusting the content of the book and leafing through it and moving on. Not buying it. I only hope that later on they remember the great info they got from the book and come back to buy it.
I know from being a customer at gemfest previously you have to try to get the best for your money and have to get around to see it all. I must say that I felt my book was used and some people were rude. This was a minority though, and the whole experience was a great learning curve. I was surprised that people did not know that I was the author of a book of new research until I told them. Advertising is a must next time.
I met many lovely people and made lots of contacts. I have to say I'm glad I was there as a stall holder, and will make sure I get a good break to go and see the various stalls next year.

Lismore Gem Festival

Hello to you all. I hope all the mothers out there enjoyed mothers day.

This coming saturday and sunday is Lismore's Gem Festival. It is well known around the country as one of the best for its variety, friendliness and prices.
This year I've been offered a stall to sell my book The Magic of Minerals in Crystal Healing from. How wonderful. What better place to sell my book than a gem festival full of people interested in gems and crystals.
If your love of gems is as great as mine, you won't want to miss this show. Come visit, introduce yourself to me and I'll sign your book for you. I will be in the pavillion.

Book Launch

Well my trip to Tenterfield was just lovely. The book launch was well received with word of mouth travelling all too well. The samples of my crystal jewellery were a good way to let people handle/feel the crystals I was talking about. Demand for books is increasing I'm pleased to say.

I'm very grateful to Julie from Dragonfly Healing Centre for organizing the day and treating me to a wonderful sauna the next day (it was freezing outside so very welcome indeed).

The libraries I've contacted have been very keen to purchase the book, needless to say, I'm happy the word is spreading.
When I get my act together I will send an introductory letter to some of the retail outlets and find a distributor.
Life gets busy, but boy it is good!

Tenterfield book launch

Saturday 26th April I will be attending another book launch for The Magic of Minerals in Crystal Healing. This time it will be held at Tenterfield's healing centre "Dragonfly". I look forward to this launch being put together by the lovely Julie, owner of the business and all round wonderful lady.
I've been playing with powerpoint trying to put together a presentation for the day, but cannot manage to insert the photographs in a small enough size. If you have any ideas that may help, I would welcome them. Otherwise, I will tell you all about how my research and there fore my book came to be. The journey I travelled (and am still on) and talk about some of the crystals, their healing properties and explain how the minerals account for their healing. I will take along some pieces of crystal jewellery as examples of the crystals to hand around for all to see and feel.
Ofcourse these pieces are available to purchase on the day.
